About the hotel
Mandarin Oriental Qianmen, Beijing is spread through the Caochang hutong quarter in Dongcheng District, near the Beijing Central Axis. The hotel consists of 42 courtyard houses ranging from 103 to 525 square metres. A Mandarin Oriental press release states that 83 per cent of the courtyard houses are original. The World’s 50 Best Hotels gives the opening year as 2024 and describes it as Mandarin Oriental’s second property in Beijing.
The hotel is operated by Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. Dining comprises Yan Garden by Chef Fei, serving Cantonese and Chaozhou cuisine, the Italian restaurant VICINI, the cocktail bar TIAO and the Maple Lounge. There is a spa with three treatment rooms, a Qiyuan Healing Space, a tea house and a fitness centre. Meeting and event space totals about 600 square metres, including the 255 square metre Mandarin Palace ballroom and the 290 square metre Zhengyang Mansion.
