Obeetee was founded in 1920 and makes carpets, furniture, cushions and bedding. Its carpet types include hand knotted, hand tufted, dhurrie and handloom. The company takes on custom carpets, bespoke furniture and bedding programmes for hospitality, residential and institutional projects.
For hotels, Obeetee offers custom designs and colour palettes, works with the client’s interior designers and handles projects from first design discussions to installation. It states a production capacity of over 200,000 square metres. Its hospitality page lists projects for Taj, Oberoi and Leela properties, as well as JW Marriott Chandigarh, JW Marriott Bangalore, Sheraton Grand Bangalore and Park Hyatt Hyderabad. It has stores in seven Indian cities and in London.
