About the hotel
Badrutt’s Palace Hotel stands on Via Serlas in St. Moritz. It opened on 29 July 1896, after Caspar Badrutt had the Hotel Beau Rivage rebuilt to designs by the Swiss architects Chiodera und Tschudi. The hotel remains independent; its 2026 press kit names Anikó Badrutt as majority shareholder and Richard Leuenberger as Managing Director. It operates seasonally, with a summer season from 5 June to 7 September 2026 and a winter season from 3 December 2026 to 30 March 2027.
The press kit gives 163 guestrooms, including 47 suites. The Serlas Wing, designed by ACPV Architects and opened in 2025, added 25 rooms and suites and is linked to the main building by a tunnel. In winter the hotel runs 11 restaurants, two bars and a nightclub, among them La Coupole-Matsuhisa, IGNIV by Andreas Caminada and Chesa Veglia.
