Capella Bangkok is on Charoenkrung Road in the Yannawa area of Sathorn, on the bank of the Chao Phraya River. According to the operator’s opening release, the hotel welcomed its first guest on 5 October 2020 with 101 guestrooms, suites and villas ranging from 61 to 595 square metres. It sits within the Chao Phraya Estate, a development by Country Group Development PCL.
The same release credits the architecture to Andy Miller and Richard Scott Wilson of Hamiltons International and the interiors to BAMO. The hotel’s website lists five dining venues: Côte by Mauro Colagreco, Phra Nakhon, Stella, the Tea Lounge and Kin. It also has the Auriga Wellness spa, and ground-floor villas and some riverside accommodation have outdoor plunge pools. The hotel is operated by Capella Hotels and Resorts.
