About the hotel

Rosewood Bangkok occupies a 30-storey standalone tower on Ploenchit Road in the Pathumwan district, in Bangkok’s central business area. The hotel opened on 31 March 2019, according to the Rosewood fact sheet, and is managed by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. Kohn Pedersen Fox designed the building, with Tandem Architects as executive architect and Celia Chu Design Associates as interior designer. KPF describes the form as two connected towers around a central atrium, shaped after the Thai wai greeting, with a direct link to Ploenchit Skytrain station.

The current fact sheet gives 158 rooms, including suites and houses with private pools and terraces; the 2019 opening release gave 159. Dining comprises the Chinese restaurant Nan Bei, Lakorn, the top-floor bar Lennon’s and the cafĂ© G&O. Facilities include Sense, A Rosewood Spa, a 20 m indoor-outdoor saltwater lap pool, a fitness studio, the 320 sq m Pavilion event space and the Ploenchit Boardroom.
