About the hotel
The Johri occupies the Lal Haveli, a 19th century house on MSB Ka Rasta in Johri Bazar, inside Jaipur’s old walled city. The hotel website states that the haveli was purchased in Samvat 1928 (1871 CE) by Dhannalal Kasliwal Faujdar and is now owned by senior advocate Sudhanshu Kasliwal and Ritu Kasliwal. It is run by Honar Group, which launched 28 Kothi in Jaipur in 2016 and describes The Johri as its second property in the city.
The website lists eight suites overlooking the inner courtyard. The Restaurant at The Johri serves a vegetarian, seasonal menu, and Pukhraj Lounge serves afternoon high chai before operating as a cocktail bar. There is also a massage service and a shop. Mr & Mrs Smith credits the interiors to Naina Shah.
