The same source says it was sold in 2014 to a fund linked to the Qatari royal family and reopened in 2021, after several years of works, as The Maybourne Riviera.
The hotel is part of Maybourne, whose website lists 65 suites and studios, all with sea views. Dining comprises the Riviera Restaurant, ABC Kitchens Riviera by chef Jean-Georges and La Môme Riviera, a beach club and restaurant.
