About the hotel
Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc is on Boulevard J. F. Kennedy on the Cap d’Antibes, on the French Riviera. The official site traces it to 1870, when Antoine Sella established a retreat that became the Grand Hôtel du Cap. Wikipedia gives a slightly different account: the building opened in 1870 as a private mansion named Villa Soleil and became a hotel in 1889, and the Eden Roc pavilion was built in 1914.
The hotel is part of Oetker Hotels, the group formerly presented as Oetker Collection. Wikipedia states that Rudolf August Oetker bought the property after the death of André Sella and that it belongs to the Oetker Collection. The official site gives 111 guestrooms in three buildings and four rental villas, and lists restaurants and bars including Eden-Roc Restaurant, Louroc Restaurant, The Grill and Giovanni’s, a Dior spa, shops and event spaces. Philippe Perd is named as Managing Director.
