About the hotel
Reschio is an estate of 3,700 acres at Lisciano Niccone in the province of Perugia, Umbria. The hotel occupies the castle at its centre, which the official website says was built in 1050. The Bolza family arrived in 1984, according to the website, and has restored the estate over three decades. Of some 50 farmhouses, 31 have been rebuilt as houses. The legal entity named on the website is Reschio srl.
Design is handled in house by BB for Reschio under architect Benedikt Bolza, covering architecture, interiors and furniture. The hotel has two restaurants, Ristorante al Castello and Ristorante Alle Scuderie, and three bars. The Bathhouse is set in the former wine cellars, and there is a pool, tennis courts, gyms and a riding operation. The website does not state the hotel’s room count or opening year.
