About the hotel
Bulgari Hotel Roma occupies a rationalist building on Piazza Augusto Imperatore, facing the Mausoleum of Augustus. According to the opening announcement, the building was designed by Vittorio Ballio Morpurgo, built between 1936 and 1938 and inaugurated in 1950. The announcement, issued in April 2023, set the opening for 9 June 2023. ACPV Architects (Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel) carried out the architecture and interior design.
The official site lists 106 rooms and suites; the 2023 announcement gave 114. Food and drink is overseen by chef Niko Romito and includes Il Ristorante – Niko Romito and The Bvlgari Bar on the fifth floor, La Terrazza on the roof and Il Caffè on the ground floor. The Bvlgari Spa covers 1,500 sq m with eight treatment rooms, and there is a 25 m pool.
