What is planned
Aloft by Marriott Johor Bahru Plentong is one of four new-build hotels that IOI Properties Group and Marriott International agreed in a statement dated 30 September 2026. It is planned with 250 keys and a 2030 opening, within the IOI @Plentong mixed-use development. It will be the Aloft brand’s first hotel in Johor Bahru.
IOI Properties Group will own the hotel and Marriott will manage it. No investment value has been disclosed. Details are as reported by The Edge Malaysia from the press statement.
