Soneva Fushi is an island resort in Baa Atoll in the Maldives, operated by Soneva. Wikipedia’s account of the company, citing Soneva’s own founders page, states that the brand was founded in 1995 by Sonu Shivdasani and Eva Malmström Shivdasani and that Soneva Fushi opened that year on the island of Kunfunadhoo. The 50 Best list gives its location as Maldives only.
Accommodation is in three categories: beach villas, overwater villas and signature villas. Soneva’s site lists more than a dozen dining venues, including Out of the Blue, Flying Sauces, a zip-line dining venue, Fresh in the Garden, So Hands On by Chef Akira, Once Upon a Table and Down to Earth. Facilities include the Soneva Soul wellness spa, The Den for families, an observatory, a glass studio, a chocolate room and yoga and meditation spaces. Guests are given bicycles to get around the island.
