About the hotel
Rosewood London is at 252 High Holborn, in a 1914 Edwardian building that was originally the headquarters of the Pearl Assurance Company. The building is Grade II-listed. The hotel opened in October 2013 after a renovation that Rosewood’s fact sheet puts at £85 million, which restored the street frontage and dome. It is managed by Rosewood Hotels & Resorts.
The fact sheet gives 263 rooms and 45 suites, including nine signature suites called houses, designed by Tony Chi and Associates. Restaurants and bars are Holborn Dining Room, with The Pie Room, Mirror Room, Scarfes Bar, named after the artist Gerald Scarfe, and The Terrace. Sense, A Rosewood Spa, has seven treatment rooms, a fitness suite, a sauna and a steam room. There are 11 event spaces, including a Grand Ballroom, for groups of 10 to 555 people.
