About the hotel
Raffles London at The OWO occupies the former Old War Office on Whitehall, London SW1. The building was designed by William Young and completed in 1906, and The OWO’s own website describes it as a Grade II* listed Edwardian Baroque landmark. According to Wikipedia, the Ministry of Defence sold it on 1 March 2016 for more than £350 million on a 250-year lease to the Hinduja Group, in partnership with OHL Developments, for conversion into a hotel and apartments. The hotel opened in 2023 and is described by The OWO as the first Raffles hotel in the UK.
The hotel has 120 rooms and suites, and the building also holds 85 residences. Restaurants and bars listed on the Raffles site include Mauro Colagreco, Saison, Kioku by Endo, Paper Moon, Langosteria and The Guards Bar and Lounge. Wellness facilities comprise a Guerlain Spa and Pillar Wellbeing.
