What it supplies
Mews is a cloud hospitality platform built around a property management system. Its own product list covers reservations, guest check-in and messaging, point of sale, housekeeping, revenue management and dynamic pricing, channel management, payments with tokenisation and multicurrency support, accounting and billing with automated reconciliation, business intelligence, a booking engine, guest intelligence and an open API with developer documentation.
The company says more than 15,000 hotels in 85 countries use the platform and that it employs more than 1,300 people. Founder Richard Valtr started Mews in Prague in 2012; Matthijs Welle, who joined at the start, is chief executive. In January 2026 Mews raised $300 million in a Series D round at a $2.5 billion valuation, and in July 2026 it cut about 15 per cent of its roughly 1,350 staff in what Valtr described as a move to become AI-native. In 2026 it also announced a distribution partnership with SiteMinder.
