About the hotel

Passalacqua occupies an 18th-century villa at Via Besana 59 in Moltrasio, on the western side of Lake Como. The Michelin Guide states that the villa was designed in the late 18th century for Count Andrea Lucini Passalacqua and that it opened as a hotel in 2022. European Spa reports that the opening followed a three-year restoration and that the property is owned by the De Santis family, who also own the Grand Hotel Tremezzo, with Valentina De Santis as CEO and owner.

The hotel has 24 rooms and suites in three buildings: 12 in the Villa, eight in the Palazz and four in Casa al Lago. Seven acres of terraced gardens run down to the lake. Facilities include an outdoor pool, a spa in the former stables with an 18 metre indoor pool, and dining overseen by chef Viviana Varese.
