Far East Hospitality has agreed to join Global Hotel Alliance, with 26 hotels and serviced residences in Singapore, Malaysia and Japan scheduled to enter the GHA DISCOVERY loyalty programme in early 2027.

The agreement, announced on 21 October, covers 6,212 rooms across Oasia, Quincy, Rendezvous, Village and Far East Collection. It brings a defined part of the Singapore-based operator’s portfolio into the alliance, rather than its entire international estate.

A wider loyalty audience

GHA DISCOVERY gives participating hotels access to a shared membership base and rewards currency, DISCOVERY Dollars. Global Hotel Alliance’s official website currently reports 38 million members and a network of more than 60 brands, approximately 1,000 hotels and 100 countries.

For Far East Hospitality, the agreement offers another route to international travellers. For GHA, the properties expand its choice of stays in three Asian markets. Participation is expected to begin in early 2027; the announcement does not mean benefits are already available at every participating property.

A partnership within a larger portfolio

Far East Hospitality’s wider business spans more than 100 hotels and serviced residences and over 18,000 rooms in 11 countries. Its portfolio includes operations outside the three markets covered by this agreement, including through TFE Hotels.

The deal is framed as an alliance and loyalty partnership. No acquisition of Far East Hospitality is announced. GHA’s model allows member brands to retain their identities while participating in a shared commercial network.

For hotel operators, the commercial question is how effectively a larger loyalty audience translates into incremental demand and repeat stays. The announcement establishes the partnership’s scope and expected timing; it does not provide a property-by-property bookings forecast.
