About the hotel
Portrait Milano occupies the former Archiepiscopal Seminary at Corso Venezia 11, with a pedestrian entrance at Via Sant’Andrea 10. Luxury Travel Advisor reports that the seminary dates from 1564, that its baroque entrance was designed by Francesco Maria Richini in 1652 and that the building had been closed for more than two decades. The hotel opened in December 2022. It is run by Lungarno Collection, the hotel company owned by the Ferragamo family, as part of its Portrait group of hotels.
Michele De Lucchi led the restoration and Michele Bönan designed the interiors. There are 73 rooms and suites, 20 of them suites. The courtyard, named Piazza del Quadrilatero, is open to the city and holds shops and restaurants. The hotel lists the restaurants 10_11 and Beefbar, the bar Rumore, and The Longevity Spa, which has a swimming pool.
