- From the 12th of October onwards, the ER officials have set off three special trains on track

THD NewsDesk, New Delhi: Taking into account the inexorable Durga Puja rush this month, the Eastern Railway authorities are making efforts to increase the number of long-distance special trains. From the 12th of October onwards, the ER officials have set off three special trains on track, although the resumption of local trains is yet to be allowed.
As per reports by the Eastern Railway, Sealdah-New Delhi-Sealdah Superfast AC Special, Howrah-Jamalpur-Howrah Special and Malda-Delhi-Malda Special are the three trains which are operational now. Further, the number of additional long-distance special train services might go up to 20, this month.
On the 12th of October, the 02313 Sealdah-New Delhi Superfast AC Special (Via Dankuni) commenced from Sealdah at 4:50 PM and reached New Delhi at 10:35 AM today. Starting from the 13th of October, the 02314 New Delhi-Sealdah Superfast AC Special (Via Dankuni) train will start off from New Delhi at 4:25 PM and reach the Sealdah station at 10:10 AM, the next day. While on its way to New Delhi from Sealdah, the train will halt at Durgapur, Asansol, Dhanbad, Gaya, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay and Kanpur Central stations.
Since yesterday, 03071 Howrah-Jamalpur Special (Via Dankuni) has also become operational from Howrah, West Bengal to Jamalpur, Bihar. As per schedule, it will leave Howrah at 9:35 PM and reach Jamalpur at 7:25 AM, the next day. Similarly, 03072 Jamalpur-Howrah Special (Via Dankuni), will depart from the Jamalpur station at 7:30 PM and reach Howrah Junction at 5:45 AM, thereafter.
In a similar fashion, starting from yesterday, the Malda Town-Delhi Tri-Weekly Special (Via Sultanpur) is now functional. It is slated to leave from Malda Town on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, at 7:10 PM and the train will reach Delhi at 4:50 AM on the third day. Likewise, 03414 Delhi-Malda Town Tri-Weekly Special (Via Sultanpur) will exit Delhi at 9:40 PM on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Mondays and it will reach Malda Town at 7:05 AM on the third day.
Additionally, the 03483 Malda Town-Delhi Special (4 days a week, via Faizabad) train will depart from Malda on Friday, Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:10 PM and reach Delhi at 4:50 AM on the third day. 15th of October onwards, 03484 Delhi-Malda Town Special (4 days a week, via Faizabad) will depart from Delhi on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 9:40 PM and reach Malda Town at 7:05 AM on the third day.
The Eastern Railway authorities have also revised the timings of the 02301 Howrah-New Delhi AC Special train, which will now reach Asansol at 7:00 PM instead of 7:11 PM and Dhanbad station at 8:00 PM, in contrast to its previous timing of 8:20 PM.
