THoD NewsDesk, Mumbai: Thomas Cook Ltd., an Indian travel agency headquartered in Mumbai and its group company SOTC Travel Ltd. have partnered with Accor, which is a French multinational hospitality company. Together they’re launching a joint venture to promote safe holidays during this ‘new normal’ period, as stated by the companies on Monday.
Extensive lockdowns and the surging work-from-home stress have resulted in travel demands, especially for short-distance road trips. The statement mentioned that Indian consumers have understandably rated health-safety as their priority.
Further, the official release mentioned that Thomas Cook India, SOTC and Accor have hence leveraged their collective prowess in chalking the ‘Holiday Safe’ range. This initiative delivers on their compendious measures undertaken under the banner of hygiene and safety while ensuring that customers have a memorable holiday stay.
Thomas Cook (India) Chairman & MD Madhavan Menon was quoted saying,
“This collaboration aimed at building a safe travel environment for customers, is inbuilt with clean-safe protocols across every step of the customer journey, and also incorporates unparalleled holiday experiences to delight the Indian traveller.”
Accor India & South Asia, Operations Senior VP Puneet Dhawan also added that as an industry, this is the time to show solidarity and work together reassuring guests that it is safe to travel.
In addition to health and safety protocols, the Holiday Safe portfolio offers a range of vacation options such as staycations, workations and drivecations.
