Hyatt’s Class A common stock trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol H. The company has two share classes: Class A shares carry one vote each and Class B shares carry ten. According to a registration statement filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, Pritzker family business interests held about 95.7% of the Class B stock at 31 July 2026, equal to about 54.3% of total common stock and about 88.8% of total voting power.
Hyatt reports three segments: management and franchising, owned and leased, and distribution. At 30 June 2026 its 1,405 hotels (excluding all-inclusive) comprised 580 managed, 803 franchised and 22 owned and leased, alongside 154 all-inclusive resorts, of which 148 were managed. Hyatt completed the acquisition of Playa Hotels & Resorts on 17 June 2025 and sold the remaining Playa real estate to Tortuga Resorts on 30 December 2025 for about USD 2 billion, keeping 50-year management agreements on 13 of the 14 properties.
