Members also have access to contactless technology exclusively through the industry-leading Hilton Honors app. This enables the guests to choose their room and access their room remotely using Digital Key.
Hilton has also announced advancement to a highly valued Hilton Honors benefit that provides its members with early confirmation of complimentary room upgrades. Eligible Gold and Diamond Hilton Honors members will be informed of their space-available upgrade 72 hours prior to their arrival.
This would enable the member to choose their upgraded room directly when they check-in via the Hilton Honors app. The members who are eligible will be notified of their complimentary upgraded room through an email and a Hilton Honors app notification.

Once received, if the hotel offers Digital Check-In for its guests, the member can comfortably choose the location of their upgraded room through the app 36 hours prior to arrival.
Since its release in 2015, Hilton’s Digital Key has expanded rapidly. It has been used for more than 135 million guestroom doors and has reduced plastic waste by 125 tons making Hilton’s Travel with Purpose’s commitment to cut its environmental footprint in half by 2030 more reasonable.
The technology is now available at more than 6,600 Hilton properties worldwide. The primary guest can share their active Digital Key with up to four additional devices from the Hilton Honors app.

For the other guest to gain access to the Digital Key, they must receive an invitation from the primary guest only and then log into the Hilton Honors app and pass a security check that happens instantly in the background.
Earlier this year, Hilton introduced a booking experience that allows individuals to easily book and instantly confirms at least two connecting rooms to solve the problem of long-time travel planning frustration.
Individuals can book and the confirmation for the connecting rooms will be notified within three easy steps. First, the guest selects the number of desired rooms, along with the destination and dates. Then, when selecting a room, the guest checks the box to indicate “connecting rooms.”
Finally, the guest selects their desired connecting rooms and books their stay with instant confirmation.
The customer-oriented management has enabled the Hilton to be one of the most successful hotel chains in the world.
