Guesty is a leading property management platform in the hospitality industry for short-term rentals. On September 14th, it announced the acquisition of YieldPlanet, which is a hotel-focused revenue and distribution platform.
The aim of this acquisition is to expand the business avenues of both companies involved. This business deal would help it expand its services and the capacity of its traditional hotels. YieldPlanet would benefit from collaborating its market-friendly technology with the traditional hotel offering of Guesty.
This acquisition is said to ⁹be also be a rebranding opportunity for the software company as it has planned to introduce Guesty Distribution Hub which is customer friendly interactive platform which will work to connect it with Trip.com, Hopper, Google’s Hotel & Vacation Rental Search Products, Hopper. This platform’s essential function would be to help hotel managers to maintain an efficient report regarding organizations’ revenue, vacation rental offerings and others from just one site.
But this acquisition between Guesty and YieldPlanet is not the only business expansion venture of the software company in the hospitality industry. the software company very recently acquired a huge investment of $170 million. The prospective investors were existing investors Viola Growth and Flashpoint and new investors Apax Digital Funds, MSD Partners and Sixth Street Growth.
This huge capital investment is considered to be a reflection of the trust that investors have regarding the growth of the hospitality industry and especially investors view how valuable the travel and alternative accommodation sector is with an increase in its growth. It is also seen how valuable and trustworthy it is in the hospitality industry and its growing technical expertise and long-term strategy have been a key factor in making it the market leader in the hospitality industry in terms of management and software sector.
“With PMCs competing for diverse consumers and travel personas seeking every accommodation under the sun, we are thrilled to offer additional distribution for our Guesty users through direct integration of YieldPlanet and the formation of the Guesty Distribution Hub,” says Yair Holtzer, VP of Strategy at Guesty. “Guesty will offer direct integration with Hopper, Trip.com, Marriott Homes & Villas and Google’s suite of Travel Search products, joining our already impressive OTA integration with Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, Expedia, Tripadvisor, Agoda, and misterb&b.
